400th Post
Let the world spin on around me; I’ll sit, removing the needle of novelty from my veins. Leave me be you “good time” junkies, take your childish, first world fantasies somewhere else.
An entire generation of “Toys-R-Us” kids marching in lock-step chanting the “I don’t wanna grow up!” mantra, leaving a trail of broken toys, dreams and hearts in their wake.
The entertainment generation has not the discernment to distinguish between “real life” and “fantasy”. There’s a kind of Black plague of the soul out there, an “eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die” mentality being spread through books and movies.
What if we make peace with death? What if we celebrate life instead of escape from it? What if we sit and take an honest look at what we are creating, what we are cultivating for ourselves and future generations?
What if growing up simply means growing within?
