"The heart is forever making the head its fool."
~Carl Jung

A battle that logic has won many times before has been revealed within my heart. Damn you heart. I have been following logic to the point that when the heart speaks I silence it with facts and reasoning.

The only fact I know for sure right now is that my heart won't be silenced.

Great observation.

I remember the day when I was exposed to the difference between "knowing" and "KNOWING."

The first is a modern invention, a product of the West that separates head and heart and suggests reason and intellectual knowing is the highest form.

The second is what the Bible is shot through with; knowing with both head and heart. Both can start the process of knowing alone, but to truly know is to integrate the two together. Sometimes the intellect spurs the process, and sometimes the heart.

It's a very Eastern way of thinking; one I find to be much more accurate.

Here's to the rejection of Western fragmentation of self! : )
